Edumon: The Archivist's Journey · Effective July 2026
Welcome, and thank you for playing. By using this site and the Edumon game (together, the “Service”), you agree to these terms.
Edumon is a browser-based educational game operated by Trailpost (“we”, “us”). Full access is provided through a paid license. Yearly subscriptions include a free one-week trial. The game is intended for use in classrooms and homes and is appropriate for students; please use it accordingly.
Premium educational content — including the Edumon Question Library — is licensed, not sold. A purchased license key unlocks that content for use on a limited number of devices:
Yearly plans renew until cancelled. When a yearly subscription ends or fails to renew, the license key stops unlocking premium content.
Device storage: After a key is entered, this site saves the license in that browser on that device. Clearing the browser’s cache, cookies, or site data for edumongame.com removes the saved license from that device. The player must enter the key again to restore access, and re-entering counts as a new device toward the plan’s device limit. Your Gumroad purchase is not cancelled by clearing browser data.
A license key may be shared with the students in the licensed classroom or with members of the licensed family. It may not be published publicly, resold, transferred outside the purchasing school or family, or used to unlock content beyond the plan purchased. The question content may not be copied out of the game, redistributed, or used to build a competing product. We may deactivate keys that are published publicly or used far beyond their license; if we ever deactivate a legitimately purchased key in error, contact us through the store and we will make it right.
The Edumon game engine is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Nothing in these terms limits any rights granted to you by that license with respect to the software itself. See the Credits & Open Source page for notices and source code. The Question Library and other question-pack content are separate works, are not covered by the GPL, and remain subject to Section 2.
Please do not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe or overload the license server, misuse keys that are not yours, or interfere with other players' use. School network administrators remain responsible for their own filtering and device policies.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Game progress is saved in the player's own browser on that device rather than on our servers, so it can be lost if site data is cleared, if the browser reclaims storage, or if the player switches devices. Please do not treat the Service as the only copy of anything you need to keep.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or a purchased license will not exceed the amount you paid for that license in the twelve months before the claim.
Purchases are made through Gumroad (Classroom/Family, School) and are subject to that platform's purchase and refund policies.
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about these terms are welcome — Contact us or use our Gumroad store pages linked above.
