Edumon: The Archivist's Journey
Edumon is an educational adventure built on the shoulders of a wonderful open-source community. This page acknowledges that work and provides the license notices and source code that accompany it.

Contains the complete program source for the version of Edumon served on this site. Game art, maps, and audio originate from the Tuxemon project and its contributors (see attributions below) and are available from the upstream repository; the commercial Edumon Question Library and the original Edumon writing are separately licensed content and are not part of the open-source work. A written offer for corresponding source is included in the game's distribution files.
Edumon inherits the Tuxemon asset library: monster sprites, character art, tilesets, music, and sound effects contributed by many artists under Creative Commons licenses (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA and others).

Two bodies of work are original commercial content created by Trailpost, licensed separately for classroom use and not part of the open-source work. The first is the Edumon Question Library: all curriculum question text, answer choices, and explanations across every subject, including the dedicated collection for multilingual learners. The second is the original Edumon writing: the campaign story and plot, the character and NPC dialogue authored for Edumon, the Echologs and Field Notes, and the other in-world text written specifically for the Edumon experience.
The Tuxemon game engine, base maps, creature designs, sprites, and audio remain the work of the Tuxemon project and its contributors under their respective open-source licenses, as described above; Trailpost claims no ownership over that upstream material. Only the question library and the original Edumon writing described here are separately licensed commercial content.
“Tuxemon” and related marks belong to the Tuxemon project. Edumon is an independent educational work built on the Tuxemon engine and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Tuxemon project, and is not associated with any commercial monster-collecting franchise.
